HELP OUR TROOPS CALL HOME - Senator Hannon’s Office Serves as Official Drop-off Center

Americans will replace an estimated 150 million cell phones this year, and many of those unwanted cell phones will be stuffed into desk drawers or thrown in boxes.  That’s why Senator Kemp Hannon has registered his Community Office in Garden City as an official drop-off site for Cell Phones for Soldiers in an effort to encourage people to donate their old cell phones for a great cause.

Cell Phone for Soldiers is a non-profit which collects thousands of unwanted cell phones each month and sends the phones to ReCelluar. ReCellar then pays Cell Phones for Soldiers so the non-profit can afford millions of pre-paid calling cards for U.S. troops stationed overseas.

“This is just a small way we can show our appreciation for the brave men and women who are risking their lives for our freedom and safety,” said Senator Hannon.  To help our troops call home by donating your old cell phone, please stop by or ship your phone to Senator Kemp Hannon’s Community Office at 224 Seventh Street, Suite 200 in Garden City.
