Five hundred WRHU, Radio Hofstra University, alumni gathered on November 7th at the Long Island Hilton to celebrate 50 years of Hofstra Radio on the airwaves. A special presentation was held by Senator Kemp Hannon (6th District), who presented WRHU General Manager Bruce Avery with a New York State Citation for 50 years of community minded radio, exceptional student achievement and journalism excellence.
